We operate a ‘Training Café’, offering opportunities for long and short term work experience placements, as well as running Barista courses.

We believe getting stuck in builds confidence as well as skills.

We want to support the people of Nuneaton in levelling up their work skills, generating work experience which can boost a CV/job application, and offering hands-on training and support opportunities in our friendly cafe.

Work Experience Placements

We seek to take on work experience placements from all walks of life, but we do have a particular passion for supporting young people and young adults who are currently not in employment or full time education!

We have supported placements through Oakwood SEN School, the Princes Trust, the Nuneaton job centre, local schools and more!

If you or someone you know could benefit from some work experience, please do get in touch. We review work experience requests on a case by case basis, looking at how many existing placements we have and what the needs are of each person. As such we cannot guarantee we will be able to offer a placement to everyone, as we want to ensure we can support each person fully with the number of staff we have.

Barista Courses

We run Barista courses for local people looking to work in a coffee shop environment. These are paid (but we keep the costs incredibly low), but we can arrange to subsidise costs for individuals on low income.

We don’t currently have any courses scheduled, but we are currently planning for some, and will release dates very soon!
