Having enough food is one of the most basic of needs, but many people are having to skip meals and go without as we all feel the crunch of rising prices.

No one should have to go hungry.

We have a variety of support options available for people struggling to get enough to eat, as well as some projects and initiatives connecting people with other essentials such as free blankets, shoes and warm clothing. Some of our projects change with the seasons, and some are more permanent offers.

Pay it Forward

Tuesday-Saturday 9.30am-3.30pm

Through our Pay it Forward scheme we have meals and drinks available to give to anyone who comes into our café who is in need. These meals have been paid for already by someone else, that could be one of our customers, an organisation, business or charity.

To claim a meal or drink, simply come into the café and choose a token from our Pay it Forward pin board (located just inside the main entrance of Saints) and bring it to the till to claim it. There is no judgement, we won’t ask you anything other than how your day is going and what you would like to order!

Low cost or free food opportunities

For parents of babies and young children, we offer a £1 breakfast batch deal with a refill hot drink as part of our Parents Breakfast Club on Thursdays between 10am-12pm

For young people, we offer a free hot snack and drink at our Student Lounge sessions, find out more about these here.

During school holidays we put on free breakfast for children every day we are open from 9.30-10.30am.

School Holiday Breakfast Club

During school holidays & half term, we run Breakfast club where parents can bring their children to have a free breakfast. We also offer free activities and crafts alongside our free play area to keep little ones busy !

Support with essentials

During the winter we have a free blanket stall just inside our café with blankets that can be claimed by anyone who is struggling to stay warm.

This year we have been supporting families in significant need by purchasing school shoes and coats for children. We hope to make this a yearly project!

We take donations for Ask Katie, a hygiene bank based in Stockingford. They can offer people free toiletries and period products. Find out more about what they do here.

We have previously accepted donations of baby clothes, and we ran a free preloved baby clothes stall. We are hoping to offer more baby supplies soon, watch this space for more details.
